I am crazy about Rotraut Schrott's Beautiful work!! I have many of her dolls, and hope to continue to enjoy them, as well as her new creations for GADCO in the future. GADCO dolls are the among the most beautiful in the world to me, and I cherish every one of them. I would like to secure an order for John-John as soon as possible. I "grew up" with John, as he was my age and it breaks my heart to think of his tragic loss. I remember when I was three years old, watching his father's funeral on television, and John saluting his dad. I will never forget that poignant moment in time, my mother sobbing and I cried with her,so acquiring the doll is very important to me. Thank you GADCO for preserving such a special moment.
Juelie, I wanted to let you and your co-workers know how much I appreciate your company's excellent customer service. I have to admit I have been disappointed that my dolls, Baby Priscilla and [Tabitha], have not been delivered yet, however, your concern for this problem and response to me has made the wait much more tolerable. Juelie.....I received my Royal Baby Carrington today and she is really beautiful indeed. A very big and chunky little girl. I love her big size. She is a heart touching child for sure. The trunk enables me to use it as a display for Baby Carrington to sit on. Her little Teddy bear is the cutest, and looks so sweet with her holding him in her lap.
Just got my Priscilla - what a beauty! Definitely worth the wait! Makes me wish I had ordered all the other babies, too! :o)

Hi... Jackie and Bonnet are wonderful!! I just got them today and could not believe how beautiful Jackie is...for a small doll, she has lots of realistic facial features. Juelie, will you please pass this along to Freddie and Michael? I wanted to tell them that I read the article in Doll Reader and sent a letter to the editors. The article was really good, but they should have had GADCO on the cover, either in words or picture. Instead they had an inexpensive copy of Chloe Love on the cover which I thought was tacky. I don't know if Doll Reader will respond, but if they do, I will forward the response to you.

Bruno Rossellini is one of the most talented doll makers I've ever seen! I am in love with Bianca and Justine, although all of his dolls are [gorgeous]. So lifelike and beautiful, I can't say this enough!
Thankfully and I DO mean THANKFULLY someone has [sculpted] a beautiful likeness of the late Princess Diana! She almost looks as if she's walking along as she certainly was in most of the film footage I saw of her! WARM congratulations in capturing her! Not all artists are successful at this!

I have many of your dolls, and each time I get a new one I am even more excited than the last. Your Company is one of great quality. Out of all the dolls that I collect, GADCO dolls are the ones that get admired the most by visitors in my home. Of course, I quickly tell them all about your company. I recently wrote QVC and told them that myself and many other avid doll collectors would like to see dolls of quality on their program. Especially since their program is suppose to be all about quality. Even though I have bought many dolls from QVC (mostly marie osmond) none even begin to compare to the dolls that I have been fortunate enough to receive from your company. Probably my most cherished doll is the Christmas Tribute Diana Doll, having her is like winning the lottery. After emailing a message to QVC I was [amazed] to get a card from you that you were going to be on QVC on September 11, 1998. Avid doll collectors all over the United States are in for a treat of a lifetime. I am so disappointed that I will not be able to watch you on that day, because my daughter is getting married on September 12, 1998 and we have company coming in from all over on that Friday September 11, 1998. Dear juelie, You don't know me, but I have been a big gadco [collector ]for some time now. and a great fan of the company. my name is, Carla J. S. but just call me carla i just wanted to make a formal introduction. i am just dropping a note to say thank you for such beautiful dolls every time someone comes into my house they make the honest mistake for being real [children]. but that's ok. I just love the compliments, towards the end. I also decorate around the holidays, and they have become part of my [decor] for instance I had monroe out for the month of easter everybody just loved her. I love keeping them out but my mother wants me to keep them in the wrappers all the time until the holidays come. and in between those times I miss them terribly I know this sounds crazy, but sometimes I can hear them in the box begging me to let them out. like i said crazy uh. the only other time my mother let one of them out, was when I was sick with the flu last year and that doll was baby chloe. my boyfriend took her out and put her beside me, in the bed. after a week, and I was awfully sick. when it was predicted, I would in bed, for two weeks it was only week. every time I looked at chloe I forgot for a while at least about how bad i felt. I may have been hearing things but I swear every time I looked at her I could hear chloe laughing and cooing. one day I was sleeping, and I must have in some state between a sleep state and wake state or as I call it limbo land. I heard her cooing, and as I woke wouldn't you know it there she was. on the chair looking as innocent as ever. Juelie the [question] I want to ask you, is there a way to keep them clean all year? and if there is could please tell me or send some directions so I don't have to keep them in the box all the time. It would be helpful If you could. oh before I sign off, we have a couple of friends who are collecting your dolls also. so we are having a contest. Who can get the most gadco dolls. It's just something fun that we are doing. and It's just me my boyfriend and our two friend's the loser has to give a tea party but one of us all to happy to do that I'm ahead right now. but I told my friend whoever wins we or loses we will both give the tea party we just decided, that I let you know towards the end of this year who won.
I just got my Fredericka doll yesterday ... she is absolutely beautiful! I love Rotrout's dolls. She looks alive. Thanks for creating such a wonderful doll to add to my collection. I have all the past GADCO Schrott dolls and Fredericka is a very welcomed addition. I can't wait for Alexis.

Dear Juelie, I received Shoshanna yesterday. I called Laura and I told her how pretty I thought she was. I wanted to let you know too. When I saw her picture in the doll magazine and on your webpage, I fell in love with her. When I actually saw her, she is prettier than in her pictures. She has a lot of lifelike definition on her face, her hands, her feet, and her eyes. I underline what I say that she is a very pretty doll. I have dolls that I have paid more for that don't have the definition and lifelike qualities that Shoshanna has. I missed out on Madison, when you had her available. Laura gave me some doll shop numbers to call to see if they had Madison available. They had all sold out but I called The Doll Studio and Bear Den in Washington, and I am very happy to say that they did have one of her. I talked to a very nice lady, Jeannie, she is going to mail Madison to me this week. I am very glad that she had her. I also liked Chantelle, I preordered her last week. I was on my way to class this evening when the UPS man drove up. I knew exactly who he was bringing me, and I couldn't stand it, the anticipation was killing me. Needless to say I was late to class. I tore open the box like a child at Christmas. I was speechless when I pulled Chloe out of the box. GADCO amazes me each time I [receive] a new addition to my collection. Chloe Love is beyond everything that I have been told about her. She is the most beautiful baby doll I have ever laid eyes on. She is so realistic from her head to her toes. in the past few years and sometimes to my husbands dismay, i have put a lot of my spare and not so spare money into my doll collection. of all the dolls that i own my gadco dolls are the nearest to my heart. the day i received my diana doll, i spent the rest of the evening admiring her clothes, combing her hair, and sometimes just staring at her to make sure she didn't blink. the quality of the vinyl, the sculpting, the beautiful eyes, are all unheard of for the money. i find myself comparing the quality of other [manufacturers] to that of gadco and most always there just is no comparison. just keep up the good work, gadco, and we'll keep buying. we have very high standards now when it comes to the dolls we love, and it's all your fault!!!
I just wanted to let you know how much happiness Chloe has brought to me. I'm a Cancer survivor and have battled for the last 17 years with problems. Don't get me wrong, I'm lucky to still be here, and I know it. Just this past Monday I had to go in the hospital for minor surgery and tests. Being in [beds] I have to be. When I hold or have Chloe in the bed with me, she makes me feel good and makes my life a little brighter, and peaceful. Thanks again for bringing such a beautiful baby to us. I did loose a child in 1975, and I think that's why I love babies so much. I hope you don't think I'm stupid, I guess they must fill a void in my life a little. God does fill the rest. That's why I think Chloe was sort of a miracle I needed now. When I called your company to order the doll, I was told she was sold out. I therefore called QVC and was told there was a wait list, but nothing was for sure, so I put my name on the list. I then told God if it was meant to be, I would get her, and I would leave it in His Hands! And forgot about it, and within three weeks I received Chloe UPS, I didn't [know] she was coming, the day before Thanksgiving, and right before I had to go into the hospital!! That's why I say she is sort of a miracle to me, God knew she would bring me some comfort which I needed, and she did. Just wanted to share. Thanks again!!!! Sincerely, Mary

Today I received Chloe Love and she is wonderful, precious, breathtaking and much more! I have GADCO's Josephine from a purchase I made from an auction over the net, and knew I would be thrilled with Chloe- -and I definitely am! I believe GADCO's dolls are the finest ones I have ever come across. I had seen pictures in the doll magazines before and thought they looked nice, but until you actually have one in your possession and see them in person, well words just cannot describe how really beautiful they are. I was even more thrilled when I found out that my Chloe's certificate said she was #3 of a limited production of Chloe Love, and that on the back of her head it says " Artist Proof President #3 / 25". What a wonderful surprise! I truly love her! I am definitely hoping to be able to purchase some more GADCO dolls in the future. However, with Christmas in a few weeks and limited funds, I will have to wait until a little later. Dietrich looks gorgeous and I am [definitely] going to consider her. I just hope she will not be sold out when I am ready for my purchase. Well, I have bent your ear enough I am sure. I feel honored that you would like to share my story. I'm a very lucky person. If there is any way my life and my story can touch someone out there then that's an honor for me and a blessing! Like I said I have battled cancer, a stroke and four blood clots to the lungs. I really shouldn't be here at all! Last year I went into the hospital Dec. 1st, and didn't come out till Jan. 28th! That's why when I went in this past Monday I was scared. They were sure the cancer was back, but guess what they didn't find any. I'm still bleeding, but home in bed, and Chloe keeps me company and, I know with the grace of God and all the people who pray for me I'll be just fine. God knew I needed something I could hold on to [physically], and touch and would keep on being there when everyone was gone. I'm totally paralyzed on my left side from the stroke which happened 17 years ago when having chemo. I believe with my whole heart in people but first of all God. He knows what we need when we need it when we have to bear our crosses which we all have, and He givesus the strength to get through them. Right now in my life I needed Chloe. Nobody can tell me, because of the way I got her it wasn't a little miracle I needed just now in my life. I'm never afraid of giving my name out or if anybody out there needs to talk to someone else who is going through hard times. That's what we are all here for to help on another. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ, if we would just remember that the world would be such a better place to live. I love life, because each day I do get up and open my eyes I know it is a gift from God I give Him thanks first and foremost, and now when I look and see Chloe, she brings a smile to my face and a warmth to my heart to start each day anew. This is a very well produced and presented web site and one I will recommend to my doll collecting friends.
Even my husband, raised in a family of 4 boys, marvels at the beautiful eyes and 'moist' lips of our Chloe. Every visitor looks at your catalog and remarks about how pretty and realistic the dolls are. Even people who are not even slightly interested in dolls really enjoy Chloe. I think it brings out the best in people and certainly makes them smile when I place her on their lap! I am saving for my next GADCO doll. I can't decide if I want to try to track down Justine to be a "big sister" to Chloe or if I should get a Baby Priscilla to be her "playmate". Also, I think that Tabitha makes a good "big sister" to Priscilla. Some artists have recently created dolls that are, pardon my criticism, u-g-l-y. This is simply a reflection of the diversity of tastes that make the world go around. I am glad however, that you make dolls that are PRETTY.

I was holding my Felicia the other night and appreciated my GADCO dolls so. I don't think many dollmakers appreciate that the way dolls are put together affect not only their quality but their holdability. Of course it gives such wonderful posing potential and their feel is more "human" I just don't like that wire jointed feel anymore at all. Her face is so beautiful and her dress so soft the quality of the vinyl and dress and the care put into this concept of doll was just great and continues to be with GADCO dolls.

I prefer the larger dolls, but Maxi is very tempting. My one other Artist Proof doll, Dietrich, is my favorite doll of all time. I love your website! It's so great to see all of Rotraut Schrott's dolls pictured together in one place. I was captivated by Martina 10 years ago when I first saw her photo in DOLLS magazine. I couldn't believe how real she looked. Then when I saw her in a doll store - I just couldn't put her down. I had to buy her. And she still has the same effect on me now, a very special work of art to be sure.
I too, saw Martina in a magazine and just had to have her. She was my first of many Gadco dolls, and she is still one of my favorites. I currently have 22 Gadco dolls in my collection. My husband finds it so easy to call Gadco and order a doll for me when he needs a gift. They know which ones I already have and they always give him advise on what to buy. Yes, i just got Tabitha today, and [I'm] very happy to add her to my Great American doll family! The trunk is wonderful, i already displayed it, I put a lace table cloth inside on the bottom and filled it with [baby] dolls that i have collected through the years. They look so cute sitting in this miniature trunk. I must say, Gadco keeps the coloring on their dolls so true to a real life toddler, that you know there dolls but at a glance you think they are real. I wanted to tell you that I think the stands I got with these two dolls are just the perfect size for them, and sustain their bodies without showing from behind. I don't have any of GADCO's older dolls, so I can't make a comparison with the older stands, but these new ones seem just great to me, like Barbara said on the bulletin board. After seeing Dietrich, Tabitha and Baby Eliza in person I've become *SO* picky in my doll collecting, and many dolls by other makers that I used to love just seem to pale in comparison with yours. I'm totally hooked on Rossellini's work; I hope to add his Abbey, Christopher (w/ dark hair) and Baby Carrington to my collection as soon as they become available. I now own Maxi Prototype 8/25. The inside of the box is signed and also the certificate. This is my first prototype and I'm very pleased. I bought my "Maxi" doll at Worsley's in Butler, PA.
Not only are your dolls beautiful, but they are also life-like. When my five-year-old nephew Danny first walked into my bedroom, he later told me, he jumped because he thought that there was a real little girl on my bed. Whenever my neighbors see one of my Rossellini dolls, they always compliment his work--and my taste!

Love my first Tabitha so much I ordered another one. Since she wears other toddler clothes so well, thought I would keep one in the original outfit. She will be picked up this week from the doll shop. Can't wait. Hope Bruno makes more of these realistic toddler dolls.
Truly the most beautiful dolls I have ever seen. I have at the moment a Large Chloe Love and am awaiting delivery next week of Tabitha and Dietrich. Large toddlers are my favorites.

I am crazy about Rotraut Schrott's Beautiful work!! I have many of her dolls, and hope to continue to enjoy them, as well as her new creations for GADCO in the future. GADCO dolls are the among the most beautiful in the world to me, and I cherish every one of them. I would like to secure an order for John-John as soon as possible. I "grew up" with John, as he was my age and it breaks my heart to think of his tragic loss. I remember when I was three years old, watching his father's funeral on television, and John saluting his dad. I will never forget that poignant moment in time, my mother sobbing and I cried with her, so [acquiring] the doll is very important to me. Thank you GADCO for preserving such a special moment.

Juelie.....I received my Royal Baby Carrington today and she is really beautiful indeed. A very big and chunky little girl. I love her big size. She is a heart touching child for sure. I now have her displayed with my Tabitha and they make a very darling pair. The trunk enables me to use it as a display for Baby Carrington to sit on. Her little Teddy bear is the cutest, and looks so sweet with her holding him in her lap.
Just got my Priscilla - what a beauty! Definitely worth the wait! Makes me wish I had ordered all the other babies, too! :o)

I already had several GADCO dolls (Juliette, Monroe, Babette, Madeline and Dietrich) and I was very pleased with them. They were so lovely and life like. Someone suggested I get Chloe-Love. I was never too crazy about baby dolls as they usually look too fake but thought since she was also made by GADCO I'd give her a try. I was stunned. She was absolutely breath taking. So life-like, such well designed features and clothing to die for. She immediately became the star of my collection. Then this year GADCO announced their Royal Baby Collection. The photos were excellent, but I wondered "Can the dolls really be as good as Chloe-Love? Can they really make magic twice?" I decided to take a chance and placed my order. Then I waited with baited-breath. Today, two huge cartons arrived. Inside were the most carefully, well packed, well protected designer cases I've ever seen. Alone they should cost almost $200 hundred dollars. Well constructed, strong, sturdy and large enough to be beautiful end tables. My babies were so well packed into these cases that no damage could have come to them. I removed the wrappings and securely tied ribbons and gently lifted Pricilla from one of the cases. Her blue eyes sparkled, her smile lit up the room. Her hair, her face, so life-like. Gwyneth with her angelic yet mischievous look on her precious baby face. Yes they did it. They did make magic not just once or twice but thrice! Tomorrow I'll describe the babies and their outfits but for now I just want to hold and look at them. K.W.
Usually I post to the bulletin board just by my first name but am using my whole name for this message to give a hint why I am so delighted to have a Royal Chloe Love, all my own. It's only within the past couple of years that I became acquainted with the GADCO dolls. Since I collect dolls with some shade of red hair and I generally collect only one doll of a particular type because I like a big variety of dolls, I decided about 18 months ago that I wanted Yvette to be my one GADCO doll. After ordering her, I began reading the bulletin board and was amazed by the level of enthusiasm expressed by GADCO collectors. Gradually I began to exchange email with a few dolly friends from the bulletin board and found, for the first time, people who love dolls as much as I do. When the Royal Babies were announced, I realized I had a chance to get a new Chloe doll even though I had missed out when she was first made in 1997. AND she arrived yesterday!!!!!! After getting her ! out of the box, giving her several hugs, and sitting her on her fabulous trunk just next to my bed, the first thing I did was email Freddie and Juelie to attempt to thank them, however inadequately, for the amazing care they put into the GADCO dolls. After seeing Juelie's oooooh so beautiful pictures of the Royal Babies, I immediately submitted an online order for Carrington. Chloe was the one exception to my rule about collecting only red-haired dolls. Carrington's picture showing her lovely red locks was irresistable. GADCO dolls and potato chips, one is never enough. When I sent you the earlier email messages I had not yet noticed that "my Chloe" was wearing the "kitty' embroidered dress that was shown on Royal Baby Gwyneth (I was a bit in a state of delirium that first day Chloe arrived). From Chloe's first picture, I didn't think she would be wearing one of the smocked dress but it is my favorite one! I had fun this morning getting her undressed, except for her beautiful undies, and looking at the very interesting, complex way she is constructed. She can be put in so many positions it is amazing. Right now I have her sitting on her trunk, with left leg dangling over the edge, her right leg tucked up on top of the trunk, and her right arm raised in a waving position. She looks so natural I even have to do a double take. Each time I come into or leave my bedroom she is either waving in greeting or goodbye. This poise really goes well with her facial expression because her lips look like she is saying "oooh" like she has just seen you coming in or a little bit of a pensive "oooh do you have to go'? The tag for Chloe says she is "Easter Chloe Love" -- I was already planning to redress in outfits for different occasions so I figure she arrived in her Easter outfit. I have take off her dress, bonnet, socks, and shoes and have put them away carefully to be ready for her to wear on Easter. Thanks again for the joy you both have helped bring into my life. EL

I just wanted to say that you cease to amaze me. I missed out on the first Chloe and thought I would never have the chance to own her. Well, I just got her today and was I ever glad I waited. For anyone that hasn't seen the Steamer Trunk that comes with her are you in for a surprise. As always your dolls are exquisite, but this trunk is great. I have never seen a doll so well packaged as yours, but it must have taken a real inventor to come up with the packaging on this one. Baby Chloe just fit perfectly in that big beautiful trunk. She is so securely packaged and tied all in beautiful pink bows. I have her displayed on top of her trunk. Chloe was long awaited, but the trunk made her worth the wait. Great job GADCO. Dear Juelie, I like the changes you have made to the web site. It is helpful to know which Royal Babies are sold out. I'm sure the other two will be sold out soon. I have Baby Carrington so I know she has the sweetest, most innocent expression imaginable. The photos cannot do the clothes [justice] as the dress and matching bonnet are made of the softest most delicate [fabric] and breath taking smocking/embroidery. The undies are as a confection of old fashioned "white handkerchief fabric, ruffles, lace, and ribbons that precisely match the dress and bonnet. I finally got her!!! I picked my baby up at the UPS station and couldn't believe how heavy the box was. She has got to be the most beautiful doll I own. Even though people said they were large chunky babies, I was amazed at how large of a doll she is. The eyes are almost real, the lips so perfect and the vinyl so remarkably smooth and porcelain-like. I never expected the steamer trunk to be so big that she came shipped in it. It really is a beautiful and sturdy piece. I want to thank you and Rhonda for the very friendly help that you both gave me. If you know Rhonda, I e-mailed her but just so you know, tell her I love her much. i have justine, simone and josephine, they are made absolutely perfect their bodies are big and beautifully crafted yet they feel like a real doll instead of a stiff [mannequin], [their] bodies are still huggable and their legs still flop like when [you're] holding a child. i used to collect mostly himstedts but since my first bruno rosselini doll 2yrs ago [I've] only been [interested] in gadco dolls. doll makers have changed over the last few years where they are more like statues or knick knacks, they aren't loveable, (turner doll for instance are beautiful but have no soul or huggable quality) they are so stiff. thanks for continuing to be an old time crafter, where the quality and loveability of a doll is all that matters. i love your dolls!!!! i have your justine, simone, josephine, ricardo, (two of them) jasmine, ninotchka, i used to collect himstedts, but after my fist bruno rosellini doll a few years ago, i really love [your] dolls, they are not only beautifully crafted, but they are not stiff like most of the doll makers are dong now, [your] dolls are big and beautiful and huggable their legs still flop like a child when u pick them up, i hate they way some dolls are stiff like [mannequins]...u have managed posability without taking the soul out of the doll, which in my [opinion] is the most important thing, its what make a person pick one doll to fall in love with amidst hundreds of others, thanks for staying an old time crafter, where the quality of the doll is more important than dead lines, or cutting prices... the quality of clothes, eyes, hair, and extra specialty items that u add with [your] dolls are [unbelievable] in this day and time of quick cheap knock offs. i realllllly [appreciate] it. thanks DA
