26" ROYAL BABIES

These babies are called "Royal" because each design has a piece of fabric from the home of the famous Duke and Duchess of Windsor, a genuine relic of a bygone era. This "Royal" fabric is hand sewn onto each of the dresses. This makes them very unique because no other dolls have this rare feature.

In addition to their high quality design, special qualities, and construction each of our five (5) Royal Babies was sculpted to represent a "real person", a personality with a soul and a character all their own, not just some fantasy face. This is what helps to make GADCO dolls so uniquely popular and collectible. So when you pick up one these lovelies, it really is like taking home a new member to your family. Here are just a few of the details:

º Costly Clothing Production: The clothes are made with 100% cotton materials. In addition, every dress incorporates delicate and expensive hand embroidery and hand smocking, handwork that can take up 30 or more hours per dress. Consequently, the quality standards found on these Royal babies are on par with what you would find on the most expensive French-made children's clothes costing $200 or $300 or more each!

That same French-style quality and keen attention to detail can also be seen in the delicately hand knitted cotton socks. Made all by hand using five different stitch patterns, these have to be the most innovative and expensive looking antique-style socks ever to hit this market. They are exciting, to say the least!

º Other Expensive Components: Making a lifelike, almost life size baby is an extremely difficult chore. To do it right, we must use only the finest and most expensive materials. This means that the eyes must be glass; that the custom-made eyelashes must be hand tied and set; that the hair, although synthetic, must be the best of modacrylic fibers; to achieve that super-natural look.

All our babies are specially weighted to provide that ever so important "natural" feeling. The arms, legs, and torso employ a space age polymeric armature to provide full naturally movement and positioning in all directions adding greatly to the cost, but ohhh! so much more natural, so much more beautiful, and so much more alive!

º Exquisite Steamer Trunk: Great expense was taken to custom design a perfect trunk size for our Royal Baby Collection. These steamer trunks are based on 100 year old patterns and are both practical and highly decorative. Their expensive look, Art Nouveau design, and sturdy wooden-like construction are so exquisite that these trunks can easily function as end tables or fancy pedestals for your babies to sit on. Their value, if sold separate, could easily be upwards of $250 to $300 or more. GADCO

º Certificates of Ownership: Each one of our Royal Babies comes with a Certificate of Ownership verifying that you have an exclusive Great American Doll Company doll with its corresponding limited edition number hand written at the back of the dolls neck from a limited edition production exclusively from The Great American Doll Company.

º Patented Royalty: Every Royal Baby has a genuine piece of "Royal fabric". This rare fabric was obtained by us at the famous Sotheby's 1997 Auction of the personal property of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. According to authorities, the Duke of Windsor, formerly Edward VII, King of England, before he abdicated in 1937, had specially commissioned at great expense the making of personalized linens and other household items for use by himself and the Duchess. As museum quality items, these were identified with their famous Royal Cyphers (insignias) embroidered on each and every item.

We have taken some of this Royal material, these fragments of a bygone era, and incorporated them into a specially GADCO patented housing to form an embroidered Regal frame. Each Royal piece has then been hand sewn on the front of each Royal Baby's dress. This is a GADCO Patented Exclusive and cannot be found on any other dolls!

º Little "Bear Cubs" Bears: Each of the Royal Babies has its own simple yet unique little teddy bear. So sweet and so cuddly, these delightful little friends are just the thing to keep your baby entertained and having fun!! Matching pink or blue satin neck ribbon with each bear.

º Babies Extremely Limited -- Will Not Last Long! The quantity of dolls produced for each of these five Royal Babies is very small. In fact, this is the smallest edition ever produced under The Great American Doll Company label. Based on the fact that there are millions of doll collectors in the world, it means that very few collectors will ever be able to own these dolls.

In addition to their charm and beauty, rarity, their Royal character and construction, each doll in this very Limited Collection has many other special features not to be found in any other dolls. With this understanding, you are fortunate to have this real but very limited opportunity to secure one or more of these precious babies for yourself. Once these are gone, we will never bring them back. So the choice is yours. Another winning opportunity from GADCO with Love!
